Story Of The Novel
Yumna is an intelligent, independent, and successful businesswoman who is secretly bound to Wahaj Khan through an unwanted marriage. Although they are legally husband and wife, their relationship is filled with hatred, misunderstandings, and unresolved conflicts. Wahaj blames Yumna for events from the past and treats her with coldness and cruelty, while Yumna refuses to submit to his controlling nature.
Working together in the same company only intensifies their rivalry. On the day of a crucial board meeting, Yumna discovers that the confidential project file she prepared has mysteriously disappeared. She fears Wahaj will accuse her of negligence, unaware that he secretly took the file himself. Using the information, Wahaj successfully secures a multimillion-pound business deal, making Yumna question how everything happened without her knowledge.
Determined to uncover the truth, Yumna confronts Wahaj in his office. Instead of answering her questions, he mocks her and deliberately lights a cigarette, fully aware that she has a severe allergy to cigarette smoke. As she struggles to breathe and coughs uncontrollably, he continues to provoke her, allowing his anger and desire for revenge to overshadow any sense of compassion.
Despite his harsh behaviour, Wahaj’s emotions become increasingly complicated. Seeing Yumna’s condition worsen, he offers her candy to soothe her throat, but she rejects every attempt because of the pain and humiliation he has caused. Losing his temper, he forcefully makes her take the candy. Yumna fiercely resists and bites his lip, proving that she will never silently accept his mistreatment.
Meanwhile, hidden secrets continue to surface. Yumna gradually realises that someone inside the house helped Wahaj steal the missing file, exposing betrayal within the household. Every new discovery deepens the mistrust between them, while family members and employees unknowingly become caught in the growing conflict between the unwilling couple.
Just when emotions reach their peak, the office door suddenly opens, and Wahaj’s fiancée arrives, creating an even more complicated situation. The unexpected interruption hints at shocking truths yet to be revealed about Wahaj’s secret marriage and his conflicted feelings towards Yumna.
